The essential fatty acids contained within omega 3 rich oils are vital to both skin health and healthy hair growth.

Omega 3 oils provide a rich source of moisture and allow skin and hair to exude the highly sought after ‘inner glow’ and radiance that many topical products cannot produce. For many people struggling with ‘bad’ skin and dry, dull and down right disobedient hair, many people think that this is just the way that their hair or skin naturally is. Few people actually realise that just as a cold is a symptom of a low immune system, bad skin and dull, weak hair can also be a sign of an Omega 3 deficiency.

Hair care is an vital element of most people’s beauty regimes. Many men and women apply a whole host of hair care products on a daily basis, with the average British woman spending around £36,903 on her hair in a lifetime.

Omega-3 has recently gained attention for its ability to combat dry and brittle hair, hair loss, dry, flaky scalp and reduced circulation to the scalp. In addition, the benefits of Omega-3 essential fatty acids include adding luster, sheen and elasticity to your hair as both DHA and EPA (two specific types of fatty acids found within Omega 3) are vital for the nourishment of hair follicles. Omega 3 rich supplements like Ahiflower and flaxseed and whole organic foods can help; jump start hair growth and help hair grow quicker and stronger.
